October 8, 2018: MAVEN Project Educational Session, Pediatric Neurology: Headaches in Children and Adolescents:

The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.

Speaker: Dr. Jay Selman

Specialty: Pediatric Neurology

Presentation Title: Headaches in Children and Adolescents

Bio:Dr. Jay Selman is Professor of Clinical Pediatric Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center, New York. During his career, he has had an active private practice in adult and pediatric neurology in a suburban community and in a Manhattan practice. He has been Chief of Neurology at Blythedale Children’s Hospital, a specialty rehabilitation hospital outside of New York for more than 10 years. He has also practiced in underserved areas of the Bronx and Manhattan as a Pediatric Neurologist. He recently joined Columbia Doctors in one of the Manhattan offices. Dr. Selman has participated in clinical research on children with traumatic brain injury and with anti NMDA receptor encephalitis. He has also participated in medical missions to the Dominican Republic where he lectured in Spanish.
