November 8, 2018: MAVEN Project Educational Session, Cardiology: EKG Interpretation of Common Outpatient Findings:

The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.

Speaker: Dr. Harry Schwartz

Specialty: Cardiology

Presentation Title: EKG Interpretation of Common Outpatient Findings

Bio: After finishing his fellowship, where training included interventional cardiology as well as permanent pacemaker insertion, Dr. Schwartz joined a small private practice in Northern Virginia, which eventually grew to be the largest cardiology group in the DC metropolitan area. In 2002, he and his wife decided to move back to Rhode Island to raise their family in a different environment and to be closer to his wife’s parents, siblings, and their children. Dr. Schwartz joined a hospital-based, Brown teaching practice from which he has since retired. Though he is enjoying retirement a great deal, Dr. Schwartz would like to remain active in medicine by becoming a clinical resource to practitioners that may not have easy access to cardiac consultants.
