In fall 2007 the RCHC TSO will begin implementing a state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) software in coalition health centers.  The first phase of implementations will include 500+ staff in 25 facilities spread across a four county region the size of New Hampshire (3,860 square miles).
The EHR in combination with quality improvement initiatives will be a platform excellence in patient care and management. ECW

It will allow RCHC to build upon ongoing QI projects and reach beyond the walls of an individual clinic into the community to allow us to identify individuals that are being underserved.  The EHR network will support our goals of community action and outreach.

The core software will include integrated practice management and electronic charting (paperless) components.  This system will include other advanced features such as e-prescribing, chronic condition management, population reporting and integration with other healthcare organizations (labs, hospitals, etc).Nextgen

Centrally located in an advanced Santa Rosa datacenter, the system will utilize advanced server and secure communications technology to provide access to clinical data while protecting patient privacy.  Redundant systems and 24/7 monitoring will be used to ensure reliability and security.

The system will be implemented, supported and centrally managed by the RCHC TSO team under the direction of the RCHC IT Director, Adrian Williams.
