Sonoma Health Access Coalition  (SHAC)

SHAC is a coalition of local healthcare stakeholders working to improve access to care in Sonoma County, particularly for the uninsured and underinsured. The coalition’s goal is to proactively design and create a functional, county-wide health care system that is responsive to the needs of the community.

During the Summer of 2007, SHAC hosted the "Summer of Learning" sessions, which explored multiple health delivery system strategies and models from other regions. The resulting discussion and findings from these convenings will lead to developing a strategic framework that will be presented to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, and provide guidance to Health Action.
