Health and wellness fair at WCC
The community is invited to attend Woodland Community College's "Spring into Health" Health and Wellness Fair.
The event is sponsored by WCC Student Services and Associated Students of Woodland Community College.
The Health Fair is being held on campus located at 2300 E. Gibson Road (between Building 100 and 300) in Woodland on Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There are many activities scheduled for Thursday's event including health tips, dancing, music, body fat testing, alternative medicines, prizes, and much more.
"This is another opportunity to educate our community on the importance of being health conscious. Health education is important for strong and healthy families," stated WCC Student Services Dean, Stacey Cook.
Several vendors are scheduled to participate in the event including, The American Red Cross of Yolo County, Communicare Health Centers, Sutter West Medical Group, Oasis Club and Spa, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Center, Planned Parenthood, Woodland Health Care, Dona McGill-Cameron will demonstrate turbo kicking, and Professor Julie Brown will demonstrate Zumba.
