Yolo's swine flu clinics continue
The Yolo County Health Department, in partnership with Yolo County cities and many others, is providing free Novel H1N1 (swine) flu vaccination clinics during the upcoming weeks.
To date, Novel H1N1 vaccination clinics for the general public have been scheduled for:
- Davis: 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesdays, Feb. 2 and 9. All clinics will be held at the CommuniCare Health Centers-Davis Community Clinic, 2051 John Jones Road, Davis.
- Woodland: Mondays and Wednesdays through February (excluding Feb. 15), 2 to 5 p.m., Yolo County Health Department, 137 N. Cottonwood St.
"As additional supplies of Novel H1N1 vaccine are now available, I encourage all Yolo County residents to take advantage of one of these opportunities," said Dr. Joseph Iser, Yolo County Health Department director-health officer. "This is especially an opportunity for parents of children, age 6 months to ten years who have received the first Novel H1N1 shot, to bring their children in for a booster shot."
Meanwhile, Woodland Healthcare has received a sufficient supply of H1N1 vaccine to provide vaccines to all Woodland Healthcare patients. People who are Woodland Healthcare patients who have yet to receive an H1N1 vaccination, should call 668-2600 to schedule an appointment, a limited number of appointments are available.
Injection schedules are:
- Davis Medical Office: 2330 W. Covell Blvd. on Feb. 3.
- Woodland Medical Office: Family Medicine, 632 W. Gibson Road, on Feb. 11 and 25.
